Fire Technician
Department: Fire Division
Location: Yakima, WA
Sell and service of portable fire extinguishers. Perform installation of pre-engineered fire suppression systems and promote and sell first aid products to new and existing customer base within assigned territory.
  • Promote, sell and service portable fire extinguishers and first aid products to new and existing customer base within assigned territory
  • Requirements:
  • Diagnostic, troubleshooting, problem solving and mechanical aptitude experience required.
  • One year customer service experience.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills; able to communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Requires attention to detail.
  • Must be self motivated and able to work independently.
  • Requires manual dexterity and familiarity with hand tools.
  • Night and weekend on-call as necessary.
  • Requires good driving record and valid drivers license
  • No experience required, will train the right person.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA #10 Standards Servicing Guidelines a plus.
  • Able to lift/move up to 70 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Night and on-call as necessary
  • Must be able to enter and work in confined spaces, climb and work on ladders at any height, bearing weight, and go up and down stairs.
