|Location: Spokane, WA
|Issue purchase orders to vendors for warehousing and resale of welding, safety and industrial supplies.
Provide internal customer service and support for store and sales staff.
Ensure that all internal and external customers and co-workers receive outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining the highest standards, exhibiting solid product knowledge and all other components of a ‘Customer is Number 1” environment.
Create purchase orders in computer system through analysis of reports, customer invoices and stocking level parameters.
Confirmation of all purchase orders, pricing, availability, part number accuracy and quantity ordered.
Update cost in computer system.
Contact vendors for pricing, product specifications, problems/concerns, return of goods and sourcing product.
Notify store and sales staff of major discrepancies in pricing, delivery and availability of product ordered.
Monitor backorder report.
Problem solving and the ability to multi-task.
Key and complete inventory transfers between branches.
Adjust inventory at branches (+or-) to correct discrepancies.
Distribute printed materials to appropriate personnel.
Set up new inventory items in the computer system, conforming to company standards and guidelines.
Assist co-workers at all store locations with questions, concerns, or requests.
Commit to high performance through outstanding attendance and overall dependable work habits.
Adhere to company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal regulations and laws.
Other duties as assigned.
|High school diploma or equivalent.
One year data entry experience, 1 year purchasing background and 1 year industry experience preferred.
Physically operate various types of office equipment including but not limited to photocopiers, fax machines, 10-key, computers, printers, etc.
Able to sit at a desk or computer for extended periods of time.
Able to move about the office with occasional lifting, bending and reaching. Able to dial, hear and respond to telephone calls and inquires as necessary.
Able to communicate effectively, visually and verbally with internal and external contacts.
May frequently be required to lift, carry and handle up to 30 pounds.
|Excellent 10-key and data entry skills (speed plus accuracy), TIMS, WORD, Outlook and the internet.
Requires attention to detail.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills to interact with co-workers, vendors, sales people in a positive and helpful manner.
Able to communicate both orally and in writing.
Must be self-motivated and able to be a team player as well as work independently.
Able to multi-task.
