Inside Sales Representative
Department: Inside Sales
Location: Hermiston, OR
Provide counter/store service to customers via in-person, phone, and fax. Sell industrial, medical and specialty gases, welding equipment, safety and other supplies to customers. Ensure all customer needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all internal and external customers and co-workers receive outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining the highest standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of a ‘Customer is Number 1’ environment.
  • Open and close store to include: unlock/lock doors, open/close computers and tills, changing phones, making coffee, alarm system, front gate.
  • Provide counter and store service to customers via in-person, phone, and fax, selling industrial, medical and specialty gases, welding equipment, safety and other supplies to customers.
  • Assist with daily paperwork (cash reports), filing, preparing packets, answer invoice questions.
  • Notify client when orders are ready for pick-up; return orders to stock as required, notify customer when back-orders are in, etc.
  • Maintain clean and orderly store and back rooms; ensure merchandise is displayed and bar-coded properly.
  • Set-up demo equipment.
  • File information in merchandise catalogs.
  • Assist with weekly freight.
  • Put away empty cylinders from the dock.
  • Support Outside Sales personnel.
  • Night and weekend on-call as necessary.
  • Make Hot Shot deliveries as required.
  • Commit to high performance through outstanding attendance and overall dependable work habits.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal regulations and laws.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years customers service experience. Requires basic computer knowledge, and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of welding terminology and equipment a plus.
  • Able to complete tasks as directed.
  • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.

  • An employee in this position is regularly required to use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Must be able to operate a fork lift; training will be provided by company as necessary.
