Certified Welding Instructor

Description:
Perform administrative functions of the weld school and instructional classroom with practical hands-on training in all methods of welding, safety procedures, and quality assurance. Maintain and revise all training documentation. Work one on one with students of both technical and non-technical backgrounds; instructing both beginner and advanced welder. Assist with welding tests.
Requirements:

Duties include:

  • Interact with students on a daily basis and understand their welding needs.
  • Perform lectures in the class room on the fundamentals of welding.
  • Teach the basics on reading drawings and weld symbols.
  • Train students on safety practices related to welding and insure all policies are followed.
  • Welder Certification and Welder Training.
  • Keep as safe environment in the welding school.
  • Clean the school and maintain equipment.
  • Check in Certified Welding materials upon receipt.
  • Keep welding electrodes in proper environment.

    Requirements include:

  • Proficient in the principles of welding in multiple welding processes such as SMAW, FCAW, GMAW and GTAW.
  • Welder Certifications is a plus or willing to be obtained- in house certification.
  • Willingness to obtain CWI.
  • Trade School or Apprentice in one of the construction trades or a current CWI.
  • Currently have or have had multiple certifications in the various welding processes.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills plus strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, persuasive and interpersonal skills for communication with clients.
  • Must be able to lift 50-70 pounds.
  • Drug screen and background check required.
  • Additional Information:

    Salary Range: The salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary for this position which is $30/hr.-$35/hr.--DOE
